  The Business Council for International Understanding is pleased to announce a luncheon discussion with The Honorable Dan Mozena Ambassador of the United States to Bangladesh U.S. Embassy Dhaka Monday, June 25, 2012 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. New York, NY (venue will be provided upon registration) BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION Dan Mozena became Ambassador of the United States to Bangladesh in May 2011. Immediately prior to this position, he was Professor of National Security at the National War College in Washington, D.C. from 2010 to 2011. Ambassador Mozena served as U.S. Ambassador to Angola from 2007 to 2010. He was Director of the Office of Southern African Affairs at the U.S. Department of State from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that position, he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Zambia. Previous posts overseas include Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Zaire (now DRC) and Zambia. At the U.S. Department of State, he has served in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, the Office of South African Affairs, and the Office of Southern African Affairs. Ambassador Mozena graduated Iowa State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in History and Government. He participated in a Cultural Exchange program to Nepal from 1970 to 1971. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1974 with a Master of Science in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration degree.
