Digital Ambassadors Forum (DAF):

Established by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) in close partnership with its Founding Members, the Digital Ambassadors Forum (DAF), a multi-year public-private initiative, offers a consistent platform for strategic engagement on pressing digital policy issues facing both governments and the private sector.

During a time when national frameworks are diverging and global digital governance is becoming increasingly complex, DAF offers an opportunity to foster greater cooperation across borders, share real-world case studies, and discover practical, forward-looking solutions that promote innovation, trust, security, and economic growth.

Convened by BCIU in collaboration with global digital leaders from the public sector and its Members, DAF will host a yearly flagship Dialogue on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, NY, as well as in-person and virtual programming throughout the year. These gatherings will provide opportunities to advance DAF’s mission, strengthen cross-sector dialogue, and advance global digital alignment and cooperation.

Together, DAF Members are shaping a trusted venue for collaboration between governments and industry, where practical partnerships and shared insights can help navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.

DAF Dialogue

On the margins of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, DAF hosted the 2025 Dialogue on the Future of Digital Governance, the inaugural flagship annual convening of DAF.

The 2025 Dialogue on the Future of Digital Governance brought together senior government officials, regulators, and technology executives to exchange perspectives and develop practical pathways for cooperation on pressing digital policy issues. The Dialogue examined how the public and private sectors can collaborate to address common challenges related to the responsible use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, digital tools, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, Open-RAN, and other related areas. Participants explored how different digital frameworks can foster innovation, facilitate trade, strengthen trust, and enhance global resilience.

As the inaugural event of the DAF, the summit laid the groundwork for the Forum’s ongoing engagement on global digital policy and the future of digital cooperation. The 2025 Dialogue on the Future of Digital Governance convened an audience of over 250 participants, including public sector representatives from over twenty countries, including Albania, Bangladesh, Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, France, Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Uganda, Ukraine, the United States, and Zambia.

Through the 2025 Dialogue, new partnerships, collaborations, and conversations emerged among public and private sector leaders, establishing the foundation for the Forum’s future work.
