2026 Dwight D. Eisenhower Global Awards Gala

The 2026 Dwight D. Eisenhower Global Awards Gala is taking place in New York City on Monday, November 9. During the Gala, BCIU will recognize the outstanding achievements of the following honorees:

Michel A. Khalaf, President and CEO of MetLife Inc. will receive the 2026 Eisenhower Global Leadership Award
Kim Sung-joo, Chairman and CEO of the National Pension Services of Korea, will receive the 2026 Eisenhower Global Citizenship Award on behalf of NPS
Sunny Varkey, Founder and Chairman of GEMS Education, will receive the 2026 Eisenhower Global Transformation Award

Every year since 1984, we’ve brought emissaries from business, government, and global agencies together to recognize outstanding global leadership and the power of partnership to promote international trade and diplomacy. Our founder President Eisenhower was a strong advocate for enlightened leadership and envisioned a world where private enterprise, working in partnership with the public and nonprofit sectors, creates positive change. The Dwight D. Eisenhower Global Awards Gala honors dedicated individuals who embody that spirit. This year we are pleased to announce the following honorees: Michel A. Khalaf, President and CEO of MetLife Inc., Kim Sung-joo, Chairman and CEO of the National Pension Services of Korea, and Sunny Varkey, Founder and Chairman of GEMS Education.

Prior recipients include John Graham of CPP Investments, Kenneth C. Griffin of Citadel and Founder, Citadel Securities, María Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition leader and 2025 winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Jane Fraser of Citi, Chow Kiat Lim of GIC, Ruth Porat of Alphabet and Google, Dr. Albert Bourla of Pfizer, Natarajan Chandrasekaran of Tata Sons, Ken Frazier of Merck, Khaldoon Al Mubarak of Mubadala, and Alex Gorsky of Johnson & Johnson. Gala attendees include leaders in media, diplomacy, culture, philanthropy, and business.

Every year at the BCIU Eisenhower Awards Gala, we recognize leaders who have made exceptional contributions to social responsibility, sustainability, and the growth and development of humankind. This year, we presented the 2020 Eisenhower Global Citizenship Award to Henry Kravis, Co-founder and Co-Chief Executive of KKR & Co., in recognition of his decades of work enhancing progress around the globe.

The power of leadership can easily be taken for granted. That’s why we bring businesses, governments, and people together every year to recognize outstanding global leadership at BCIU’s Dwight D. Eisenhower Global Awards Gala. Past honorees include Alex Gorsky of Johnson & Johnson, Ajay Banga of Mastercard, and Marillyn Hewson of Lockheed Martin.
