A Changing Landscape

BCIU maintains a strong programming calendar of over 150 meetings a year, which is a primary benefit of membership. In addition to this programming, member companies regularly rely on BCIU to utilize our public- and private-sector networks in a variety of bespoke ways.

In an increasingly competitive convening environment, we have found that there is deep benefit to serving members in a more customized way. Our culture of innovation drives the continuous development of new strategies and capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our members.

Where Opportunity Meets Strategy

With a range of capabilities from marketing to matchmaking, we’re further deepening our value to members by emphasizing customized service, providing unique value, and differentiating ourselves in the marketplace as a must-have partner.

BCIU’s comprehensive range of services is designed to bridge the gap between opportunity and strategic execution for members, helping ensure our efforts result in tangible outcomes.

A Real Difference

B2G Positioning offers members custom introductions to global government officials and provides essential guidance on market entry opportunities. We regularly assist members in solidifying difficult to secure meetings with priority officials and design custom schedules for C-level executives on international visits.

Through B2B Thought Leadership, we collaborate with members to create programming that attracts a curated audience of current or potential business partners. BCIU carefully selects the right companies and executives to participate in these thought leadership dialogues.

Utilizing our Marketing & Communications resources, BCIU enhances the visibility of our members and stakeholders to our global public and private sector network. For example, we collaborated with Intel to produce a web article on semiconductor supply chain resiliency. BCIU also generated broadcast media coverage for Nigerian business leader and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa, during a recent visit to New York.

Product Showcases is another valuable service we offer where we curate a prime audience, enabling members to present their innovations to policymakers, regulators, and corporate stakeholders. This fosters a deeper understanding of the products’ capabilities. BCIU has facilitated experiences like hosting foreign embassy officials in DC to test-drive GM’s new Super Cruise hands-free driving system and help Meta and Google demonstrate their VR technologies to U.S. ambassadors during our global U.S. Chiefs of Mission receptions.

Strategic Partnerships are cultivated through discussions with government entities, providing business stakeholders with the opportunity to learn more about and help contribute to the future funding stability of a multilateral or government initiative. These partnerships have been strengthened through initiatives like a legislative briefing with member companies during the PEPFAR reauthorization debate, as well as hosting roundtables with the World Food Programme to introduce firms interested in funding its mission.
