Inside BCIU’s Annual Report
Throughout the year, BCIU promotes international understanding and expands global trade through a combination of dialogue and action—and last year was no exception. In 2023, our team worked with members and partners to drive impact through more than 200 programs involving participants from 190 countries. It was a busy year of panel discussions, meetings and trainings, where we helped our members forge connections at the intersection of business and government.
“Through the dedication of our teams in New York and Washington and the efforts of our board of directors, we continue to create value worldwide for those at the intersection of business and government,” says Peter Tichansky, president and CEO. “2024 is already off to a great start and we look forward to another year of growth.”
Our first-ever annual report provides a glimpse into BCIU’s reach and impact, including an overview of ongoing programs from the past year. The team at BCIU was on the ground all over the world, designing and implementing programming with members at COP28 in Dubai and the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, among other locations. At the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City, BCIU delivered more than 30 activities covering over 60 countries with 2,000 participants, with topics including climate to health, to AI and education.
The 2023 Dwight D. Eisenhower Awards Gala was one of the most successful to date, honoring two extraordinary recipients, Jane Fraser, CEO of Citi, and Chow Kiat Lim, CEO of GIC. The event brought together emissaries from business, government and global agencies under the theme “Global Partnerships, Local Impact.”
Throughout the year, BCIU continued to serve as a trusted engagement partner and expert, organizing interactive, scalable programs and dialogues globally. The report shares case study overviews to illustrate this work.
