Agriculture

As the population grows and climate issues present challenges to productivity, the world must adopt new farming methods and technologies to ensure the soil and surrounding areas can continue to be used for generations. Geopolitical uncertainty and conflicts such as the war in Ukraine and in the Middle East create bottlenecks and cause a rise in famine and starvation. Innovative financing mechanisms need to be adopted more widely to help ensure new technologies and farming methods can be introduced and solutions can be brought to scale. BCIU is assisting in the global effort to confront the challenges of sustainable farming, food security, and access to financing by encouraging innovation and serving as a global convener to facilitate partnerships and productive action. We seek to promote sound agriculture policy and the adoption of best practices that inspire and integrate market-based solutions in the sector.
